Credits And Plans
Do unused Credits roll over to the next month?
2 min read
Unused Credits stay in the balance, but they don't stack on top of the next month's allowance. At each monthly renewal, Clearcoat raises the Team's balance to the Plan's allowance if it is below it, and a balance above the allowance carries over unchanged. Clearcoat's Terms word it the same way: "your balance is raised to your plan's allowance if it is below it; a higher balance carries over unchanged."
How does the renewal work on the Studio Plan?
The Studio Plan's allowance is 100 Credits a month. At renewal:
| Balance just before renewal | Balance after renewal |
|---|---|
| 0 | 100 |
| 30 | 100 |
| 100 | 100 |
| 120 | 120 |
So a Team with 30 Credits left at renewal starts the month with 100, not 130. The renewal adds what is missing up to 100. A balance already at 100 or above stays as it is, and no Credits are added. The same rule applies to Studio+ (300 Credits) and Ultra (600 Credits).
What does that mean for a slow month?
A slow month doesn't build a reserve: the Team starts each month with at least the Plan's allowance, whatever it used the month before. The Plan to choose is the smallest one whose allowance covers the photos you list in a typical month (what each Plan costs per photo).
Do failed or canceled photos use up Credits?
No. A photo that fails or that you cancel returns its Credit to the balance automatically, so only delivered photos count against the month.
Are Credits per person or per Team?
Per Team. Credits are shared by everyone on the Team, so one balance covers everyone who photographs and lists cars (how Teams work).
What happens to unused Credits after cancelling?
The Team keeps them to the end of the paid month. After that, the balance can no longer be spent (cancelling a Plan).
